Fire Update....Sand Fire Evacuations Grow

Plymouth, CA...The Sand Fire is being fueled by winds, high temps, and lots of fuel and opportunity to grow. Lessons from last year's Rim Fire have been learned by all agencies and everyone involved is throwing all resources at this incident. The fire has been active, jumping dozer lines and moving additional residents from their homes. At least 5 homes and 7 outbuildings have been destroyed at this time. Good luck and great work to all those working this fire....
