San Jose Man, John Stuart Beaton Loses Life In Hwy 120 Head On Collision
Groveland, CA...On Saturday at 10:50am a 27 year old San Jose man, John Stuart Beaton lost his life in a head on collision on Hwy 120 near the Groveland Ranger Station. He was driving a 2013 Chevy Sonic westbound at an unknown rate of speed and let his Chevy cross over into the oncoming lane and directly into the path of a 2009 Ford being driven by an 18 year old man from Penryn, CA....
The driver of the Chevy sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Ford, and his passenger sustained minor injuries and were transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Drugs and Alcohol do not appear to be a factor in this accident. From all of us at ThePineTree.net our thoughts and prayers to those affected by this accident and loss of life.
As a reminder to all who visit our beautiful area our two lane roads are not forgiving. A moments inattention can and many times per year does prove fatal here. The document below is not the actual report on this incident but is merely a brief description provided to the media.
