Problems Welcomed at August 12th Sierra Macintosh Users Group Meeting
Arnold, Ca...Anyone who is having nagging problems with his or her Apple product, or just wants to know how to take advantage of all its features, is encourage to attend the next meeting of the Sierra Macintosh Users Group (SMUG) to be held Tuesday, August 12 beginning at 7 p.m. in the assembly room of the Ebbetts Pass Fire District, 1037 Blagen Rd., just off Highway 4. Brian Thomas, Director of Instructional Technology for the Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools, will be leading the program. “Everyone has things about their iMac, iPad, or iPhone that are troublesome and hard to rectify,” says SMUG president Dick Cross, “How to get these remarkable instruments to do what you want can be frustrating. At our SMUG meetings we all learn from each other’s questions and solutions. So we encourage you to bring your concerns to the August meeting and Brian will help us all find answers.” As an added feature, Thomas will take the members on a visit to Yosemite, the latest Apple operating system that will be released this fall...
SMUG meets the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings are open to everyone and there is no charge to attend. The organization exists to keep Mac users abreast of the latest developments and to address the nagging questions that arise from time to time. Its goal is to take the mystery out of computers and to enable members to take advantage of all the features their Macs possess.
SMUG was founded in 1995 and is a non-profit organization run completely by volunteers. Annual dues are $15. For more information visit the SMUG website at www.SierraMacintoshUsersGroup.org or call 795-3798 or 728-9012.
