Fox has given us an air date for the Murphys Historic Hotel Episode of Hotel Hell!

On Monday, September 9th on the Fox Channel watch our debut, naturally we will be showing it here and serving the menu created by Gordon  Ramsey!

              Looking for a way to escape from the heat?  Come visit the cool town of Murphys!  Okay, our weather might not be too much cooler than your place, but we have an amazing creek to dip your feet in, an air conditioned historic saloon serving the coldest drinks, and who wants to cook in this heat anyways?

August is packed full of fun events, here are some major ones, check out some of the additional links for more information.

Friday the 1st: Music in Murphys Park is always packed, bring blankets or chairs, the kids can play in the playground while Mom and Dad dance the night away, food and drinks are available for purchase.

Saturday the 2nd: Vines and Hoses at Twisted Oak Winery is SOLD OUT!  This event raises money for the Fire Department to buy the tools and equipment they need to keep our homes and businesses safe this fire season.  Perhaps you have a friend on the inside track who can get you a seat to this Hawaiian Party?!

Wednesday the 13th: The Murphys Historic Hotel is serving delicious food in the Murphys Park for the Calaveras Arts Councils Annual Dinner.  The Arts Council is responsible for many of the Summer Concerts in the Parks throughout Calaveras County.

Friday the 15th: ZZ Top at Ironstone Amphitheatre with Jeff Beck, this show is likely to be a sell-out, if you haven't gotten your tickets yet, you should hurry!  And don't forget to make your dinner reservations!

On Saturday the 16th: Brian, Kevin and Joel will be serving All You Can Eat Shrimp for the Angels Murphys Rotary.  This event is from 3:00pm to 10:00pm in Murphys Park with a Raffle.  If you need tickets call Brian at 209-728-3444

Wednesday the 20th: Our sweet little hotel will be 158 years old!

Thursday the 21st: The Classic Car Show Group will be bringing out their beauties for some sunshine and tunes.  Come dance and join the raffle from 5:00pm to 8:00pm!

Friday the 22nd: Tim and his wild group of golf buddies will be up to terrorize the town!  Okay, that's a mild, no a drastic exaggeration, but they could show you a thing or two about golf and fun, and Tim, why is it we only see y'all once a year?  We miss you!

There are also lots of Concerts in Vineyards throughout the greater Murphys area, at places like Twisted Oak and Brice Station Winery, check out there websites for dates and times!

September 22nd is the First Day of Fall, and as hot and humid as it has been, we might just have some color changes, nevertheless, set aside some time to take a relaxing drive up Highway 4, it is a National Scenic Bypass!

Friday the 5th: Music in Murphys Park

Tuesday the 9th: Our Dining Room will be closed that evening, why you ask, because we are having the HOTEL HELL Viewing Party!

Thursday the 11th:  Wines of the World with Dorian presenting California State Fair Double Gold Medal Winners at 5:30pm

Thursday the 18th: Classic Car Show in the Parking Lot from 5-8pm

How do you spell S-E-P-T-E-M-B-E-R?  That's right, Cioppino is back! On Friday the 26th with our regular dinner menu, we will begin our All You Can Eat Cioppino, Garlic Bread, and Green Salad!  Now through April, the last Friday of the month is Cioppino, and Reservations are highly recommended!

Saturday the 27th and Sunday the 28th: Concours d'Elegance at Ironstone Vineyards, one of the larger Car Shows Statewide.

We were voted 'Best Watering Hole' by the Calaveras Lodestar and it's readers AGAIN!  Come and see why, we have local wines, ice cold beer, and charming bartenders!
