Chairs for Charity 2015 - Chairs for Charity Returns for its 5th Year
San Andreas, Ca...Chairs for Charity returns to Calaveras County on Saturday, January 31, 2015!The Calaveras Arts Council and Soroptimist International of Calaveras County are again partnering to host this fun affair. The venue, as before, is The San Andreas Town Hall. It’s not too early to begin thinking about that unique chair, stool, bench or “a place to sit” and transforming it into a “Work of Art” that will garner the most money for the charity of your choice. Professional artists and community groups receive 40% of the auction price. Strive to be one of the 10 top entries to be selected as a live auction item. Creativity and ingenuity are always encouraged. The theme chosen for 2015 is SPORTS –any kind of sports: baseball, football, fencing, horseback riding, skiing, kayaking, golfing, badminton –you get the picture. Adherence to this theme is encouraged – but not necessary...

Planning meetings are taking place now and some new wrinkles may be put into play.
Expect, as in the past a no-host bar, a buffet dinner, silent and live auctions and fun galore as we play musical chairs --- what could be more fitting?
