Slavik leads Hovey Winery Tasting Room
Murphys, Sept. 7, 2014 – Hovey Winery in Murphys is proud to announce Tricia Slavik as the new Tasting Room Manager and Wine Club Director. “We are so excited to have Tricia lead our team,” said Jan Hovey. “She brings a great amount of experience and is incredibly creative. Our kids grew up together in Murphys and she was our very first wine club member. She’s always been so supportive of our business and is a good friend.”
Slavik has an impressive background in marketing, communications, public relations, social media, management, advertising and special events. She was Director of Marketing for Ticketmaster for the State of Florida, Director of Communications for the Jacksonville Tomcats Arena Football Team, Director of Marketing for Church Street Station and Director of Marketing and Development for Planned Parenthood.
In Murphys she was the Marketing Director for Newsome-Harlow Winery for seven years and managed the old Stevenot Winery Tasting Room. For 12 years she has owned Beyond the C, a marketing communications business in Murphys. Her specialties include social media marketing, customer relations and event management.
“Our business is growing, and Tricia will help bring us to the next level,” added Hovey. “She is currently changing our retail management software to a state-of-the-art winery program, which will be of great benefit to staff and customers alike.”
