Angels Camp, CA...Mrs. Wilson was born Nov. 26, 1925 in Palo Alto, CA. She married Marvin Pratt of Palo Alto who she met at Palo Alto High School. Following Marvin’s World War II service in the U.S. Navy, they made their home in Menlo Park, CA and then moved to Portola Valley, CA where she raised three daughters; Candyce Pratt Gutierrez, Carolyn A. Pratt, and Daryl L. Turner. Mrs. Wilson later married Mr. Harold Wilson who she met while working at W & J Sloane furniture store in Los Altos, CA. After Sloane closed in 1985, she continued her interior design career working in the Franciscan Forge and Interiors in Menlo Park, CA. Following her retirement, she continued her career in interior design, working for clients that she met during her work in Los Altos and Menlo Park. She designed the interior of one home in the Oakland foothills twice due to the Oakland Hills Fire. The same client had her flown to Canada where she also designed the interior of his second home. Mrs. Wilson enjoyed oil painting and sewing. She was an accomplished seamstress who sewed her own clothes and coats. She also designed the patterns for all of the hand knit sweaters she made for herself, family and friends....
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband Harold of San Jose, CA, daughter Candyce of Murphys, and three grandchildren, Benjamin Joseph Gutierrez of Oakland, Megan Ana Gutierrez of Angels Camp, and Jeffery Turner of Steamboat, CO. Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by Marvin Pratt and her two daughters Carolyn and Deryl.
The family would like to thank to express their warmest gratitude to the staff at Foothill Village in Angels Camp for their tireless and compassionate care given to Mrs. Wilson during her stay over the past year and a half.
The family will hold a memorial service in the Bay Area at a later date.
