What’s Happening in Murphys this Week September 30th through October 7th

Murphys, CA...Tennis players from throughout the Motherlode are invited to sign up for the Murphys Area Community Tennis Association (MACTA) Mixed Doubles Tournament to be held Saturday, October 18 at Bret Harte High School, in Angels Camp, and MACTA’s Wintercreek Facility located behind the historic schoolhouse on Jones St. in Murphys. Registration deadline is October 10, but those interested in taking part are encouraged to register as soon as possible. The tournament is open to...

Wine Down Friday @ Stevenot - Each first Friday of each month from 5-8 pm Stevenot hosts "Wine Down Friday" in the Tasting Room on Main St. Murphys. Mondays at Roquefort - We invite you to join us in the garden for our Chefs Market. We will be pouring tasty wines, creative brews, and hosting local Chef's to showcase their latest organic creations. Thursdays at Outer Aisles - Farmers & Artisans Craft Market - The Murphys Farmers and Artisan Crafts Market will be held each Thursday in the Outer Aisle‘s parking lot from 4 pm until dusk. The cafe will be open and local musicians will be providing the entertainment. The Market features local produce, baked goods, grass fed meats, artisan crafts and local music. October 4, 2014 - Calaveras Grape Stomp and Street Faire - Join us for tasting & stomping in the Community Park and shopping in the street. Murphys Main Street will be filled with craft vendors, special sales, food and beer while the Park will host costumed stompers in a myriad of heats all trying to become the big winner with bragging rights until next year.
October 4, 2014 - Live Music at the Prospector Brewery featuring Jill Warren and Eddie Castro from 7-9 pm.
October 4, 2014 - Live Music at 350 Main Street - Hovey Winery and Secret Crush are teaming together to provide live music during Grape Stomp, Saturday, Oct. 4 from 1 to 7 p.m. Guitarist and songwriter Jill Warren, accompanied by Eddie Castro on drums, will perform on the lawn at from 1 to 4 p.m. and Risky Biscuits takes front stage from 4 to 7 p.m. Both businesses will be offering Hovey wine by the glass, and Secret Crush will be open continuously from 7 a.m. to 11p.m. 7-11 a.m. for smoothies, freshly squeezed juices and light breakfast items, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for lunch and from 5 to 11 p.m. for dinner.
