Second Annual Ladies Night Out For Breast Health Awareness a Huge Success

Sonora, CA...October is National Breast Health Awareness Month and Sonora Regional Medical Center hosted the second annual Ladies Night Out to help spread the message of breast health to the community. Over 500 women, men and kids came out to celebrate life, remember loved ones and enjoy a great evening on the town. The evening’s events included a candle-lighting memorial, celebration wall, photo booth, complimentary manicures from the Sonora High School Cosmetology ....

Program, and live rock and roll by The Tour Guides. A raffle was also held for a basket worth $400 filled with dozens of pink and pampering items as well as tickets to the 2015 Joie de Vie Gala. The winner of the raffle prize was Laurie Corson.

Downtown businesses also participated in the Ladies Night Out passport, a booklet given to Ladies Night Out participants offering special deals throughout the weekend. Several businesses also competed in a window decorating contest, turning Washington Street into a sea of pink – a great reminder for women to get their mammograms and perform regular self-exams. While many of the businesses went all out with their decorating, the winning business was The Pine Tree Peddlers, who will be promoting breast health throughout the month of October. Thank you to all of the participating businesses:
