Studio 4 Dance Theater 2014 Production of “The Nutcracker” Attracts Strong Community Support

Angels Camp, CA...Studio 4 Dance Theater’s annual production of “The Nutcracker” ballet is a huge financial undertaking made possible by a generous Calaveras community. Two pillars of the local giving community, the Calaveras Community Foundation and the WinterCreek Foundation, have both provided grants to support the 2014 performances....

The ballet will be presented December 18-20, 2014 at the Bret Harte Theater in Angels Camp. Sponsorships are available now and offer many benefits, such as tickets to a performance, tee shirts, listings in the printed program, and mention from the stage. Tickets go on sale in mid-November.

“We are so fortunate to have donors in our community who understand the financial challenges facing small, rural non-profit organizations,” said Tammie Lee, Studio 4 Dance Theater artistic director. “It is our mission to bring quality dance theater to this community, and our audiences could not afford a ticket price that would cover the enormous costs of this production. Our generous and thoughtful sponsors make it possible.”

Studio 4 Dance Theater is located in Vallecito, and features children and adult dancers from Calaveras and Tuolumne counties. Each year, Studio 4 Dance Theater’s production of “The Nutcracker” features more than 50 dancers and dozens of community volunteers working backstage, ushering and managing concessions. Local businesses and individuals can support this community effort by sponsoring the production, donating raffle prizes, or advertising in the printed program. This year’s sponsors already include Ruby Parlor No. 46 Native Daughters of the Golden West, Lunch Lady Catering, and 1st Impressions Dentistry - Shannon Russell DDS.

Further information about sponsorship opportunities is available by contacting Stacy Arhontes at (209) 743-3379.
