Angels Camp's Parade Of Lights & Open House Lights Up The Season
Angels Camp, The Angels Camp Business Association presented their third annual Christmas of Angels Open House from 4 to 8 p.m. and the 24th annual Parade of Lights in downtown Angels Camp on Saturday. There were lots of locals and visitors out and about watching a great parade, celebrating the holidays and enjoying shopping at local merchants. The parade has some great entries and the "Frozen" float was Rose Parade worthy....

Firman Brown was chosen as the Grand Marshal of the Parade, chauffeuring Grand Marshalls in this parade for the past thirteen years in his vast collection of vintage cars. This year he will be in the back seat with his wife, Janet Cuslidge.
Firman was one of the founding members of the Friends of the Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee and has been President for the past six years. He promotes the Fair and Angels Camp, in some way, every day. He is active with the Mark Twain Hospital Foundation, and the Hospital District Board, regarding their properties. He is a past treasurer of the Angel Camp Business Assn.
"Most people have no idea how much Firman does for this community, from his patronage to the Fair to hanging all our handmade Christmas boughs on the light poles every year,” explained Candy Myers, co-chairman for the parade. “Once the Board started mentioning all the things he has done for our city, Firman was the ideal choice!"
