Murphys Holiday Parade & Open House 2014 Over 200 Photos & Full Parade Video

Murphys, CA...Our little village of Murphys rolled out the holiday red carpet Friday night for their annual Holiday Open House & Parade. The streets were closed from 5-8pm as thousands lined the streets and visited local businesses as our local Christmas season hits high gear. This year's parade had over 40 entrants and all of the Main Street businesses were open late. Live music, caroling, Santa & Mrs. Claus and plenty of elfish behavior made it a special night. The Spice Tin actually had "Chestnut Roasting On An Open Fire" and Jack Frost was pleasantly absent with very comfortable weather for the evening...

Jenny Baxter announced the parade from the Murphys Hotel balcony, the Frozen Float made another beautiful outing and local businesses, community groups, Boy Scouts and more made it a very nice parade.

Campfires were spaced along Main Street so everyone could warm themselves by the fire as they strolled from business to business after the parade.

The crowd was a very nice mix of locals and visitors. All is all it was another great night in Murphys.
