Guide Report from Guide Gary Burns
The calm before the storm and we were putting bows in the boat both trolling and bank fishing. At our home in Angels Camp our rain gauge shows just under 7", that should bring the lake up and rain next week. We went to small blades and Uncle Larrys spinners or a plain hook topped off with a nightcrawler to get the bows attention we even put on white corn with Bloody Tuna and that also worked. Most of our time on the water was around the 49 bridge, down around 6 to10' about 1.8mph.
Andy Hites put five nice bows in the boat a few days before the storm.
Branden Black took it to the limit and released a limit before the big storm hit.
We have some nice weather the rest of the week so we hope to see Ya on the water.
