Calaveras Mentoring Foundation Presents “Spring Swing 2015” Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Ironstone Vineyards
Murphys, CA....Everyone’s invited to step out for a swingin’ good time at the second annual Spring Swing, presented by the Calaveras Mentoring Foundation to raise funds for the Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program. Spring Swing will take place beginning at 6pm, Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys and will feature dinner and dancing to the Big Band sounds of Rod Harris and the Columbia Kicks in a fun-filled evening with a live auction and a contemporary twist on "dime-a-dance" girls....
“Last year’s inaugural Spring Swing was a great event and we are so excited to be doing it again,” said Peggy Lucas, event chair and vice president of the Calaveras Mentoring Foundation. “Ironstone is the perfect venue – with colorful spring flowers everywhere, a buffet station set-up that allows everyone to eat at their leisure, and such an excellent dance floor. We can’t wait!”
Community members and businesses can support the Spring Swing as sponsors at levels ranging from $250 to $5,000. Potential sponsors should contact Donna Shannon, sponsorship coordinator, at 209-754-4997.
Reservations for the event are $75 per person. The Spring Swing will also include the return of last year’s hit “dime a dance” fun, with accomplished local dancers who will be ‘for hire’ to teach or just dance with guests who want to look really good on the dance floor. Spring Swing reservations are available at CalaverasMentoringFoundation.org, or by contacting the Calaveras Mentoring Foundation at 209-736-7706 or calaverasmentoringfoundation@gmail.com.
