Twain Harte Woman Celea Janka Passes Away From Injuries Sustained In Friday Collision

Twain Harte, CA...On 3/13/15, at approximately 1625 hours a 90 year old Twain Harte man was driving his 2004 Audi A4 eastbound on Hwy 108 and was stopped in the left turn lane onto Twain Harte Drive East. At the same time a 44 year old Pinecrest, CA. woman was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban westbound on Hwy 108 at approximately 45 miles per hour approaching the Audi's location. For an unknown reason the driver of the Audi decided to make a left hand turn, at slow speed, onto Twain Harte Drive East directly a short distance ahead of her vehicle, she applied her brakes, but was unable to stop her Suburban in time...

The front bumper of the Suburban collided with the right passenger door of the Audi. Both vehicles came to rest partially blocking the intersection of of westbound Hwy 108 and Twain Harte Drive. Alcohol was determined to not be a factor in this collision.

84 year old Celea Janka was flown by medi-flight to Memorial Hospital in Modesto where she has since passed away from her injuries. From all of us at ThePineTree.net our thoughts and prayers are with those affected.

Below is a release from CHP and not an official collision report.
