Accomplice Opens Friday At Murphys Creek Theatre
Murphys, CA...Murphys Creek Theatre presents: Accomplice, by Rupert Holmes, directed by Maryann Curmi opening Friday March 27 and running through April 26th. Performances on Friday and Saturday evenings begin at 7pm, with Sunday matinees at 2pm. “Accomplice” has more twists than a head full of dreadlocks. Prepare to be deceived, dazzled, delighted – and then be sworn to silence. The Company
Murphys Creek Theatre is a small, professionally oriented theatre company located in the charming and historic goldrush-era town of Murphys, in Calaveras County, California.
Founded in 1994, the company formerly produced the annual “Theatre Under the Stars” outdoor summer theatre festival at the beautiful amphitheater at Albeno Munari Vineyard and Winery (formerly Stevenot). Since its founding in 1994, MCT’s productions at Stevenot have grown steadily in popularity and critical acclaim, and have become a favorite summer tradition for both residents and visitors alike. Theatre under the stars is now located at the Feeney Park Amphitheater in Murphys.
With their new year-round venue at Black Bart Theatre in Downtown Murphys (580 S. Algiers), everyone can enjoy great live theatre in Calaveras County throughout the year! Click here to check out our current season!
Theatre Under the Stars
Situated right in Murphys, the beautiful Feeney Park and Amphitheater provides an informal 250-seat outdoor theatre space that provides the perfect setting to enjoy an evening of live theatre under the summer stars. Set on a tree-covered hillside, the theatre offers lawn seating with refreshing closeness to the players in the outdoor stage.
You are welcome to bring a picnic dinner to enjoy before the show!
Please note: Our seating area a lawn. There are benches available on-site (the quantity is limited and they go on a first-come, first-served basis); you are also welcome to bring camp chairs, lawn chairs, beach chairs or a blanket to spread out.
(We recommend that you dress in layers, as the foothill weather among the trees can get cool as the night goes on.)
