Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest In Jamestown
Jamestown, CA...On 3/3/15 Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a “homeless camp” near Highway 108 and Stockton Avenue on a report of an altercation. Responding Deputies met with the 40 year old male victim who reported he had been assaulted and threatened by two males. At one point during the altercation one of the males fired at least one shot from a handgun, and demanded the victim leave the area...
Deputies were able to identify one suspect as 29 year old Jeremy Caswell, of Jamestown, CA. Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Detectives assumed the investigation culminating in the service of a search warrant at Mr. Caswell’s residence. Detectives located several items of evidence including at least one firearm.
Mr. Caswell was arrested for violation of 245(A)(2) P.C. Assault with a Firearm on a Person. He was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail and Bail was set at 50,000 Dollars (Fifty Thousand Dollars). Mr. Caswell posted bail and was released from custody pending his appearance in court.
The Investigation is currently on going.
