Springtime Home-Grown Trunk Show to Feature Locals
Murphys, CA...Celebrating five successful years, owners Megan and Kim of the Maisieblue shop invite their customers and interested foothills folk to a Home-Grown Trunk Show featuring handcrafted work by local residents and shop patrons. The celebration will take place on Thursday, May 7th from 7 pm to 9 pm in the Maisieblue shop which is located at 66A Scott Street in Murphys, maisieblue@gmail.com, Maisieblue Murphys on Facebook. Those who plan to attend are asked to RSVP to (209) 858-8551 by Monday, May 4th....
Attendees should bring a small plate of nibbles to share. For those who are new to hand crafts, a trunk show is a casual presentation of many different items showcasing simple items up to advanced projects. Projects can be any handcrafted item such as scarves, toys, hats, socks, mittens, shawls, sweaters, etc.“Maisieblue is fortunate to have our Thursday night and Sunday and Monday afternoon groups,” Kimberli Smith, Maisieblue co-owner, said. “Whether it is a new group project or a knit-along lesson or folks dropping by for the chat, we’re learning from each other and it is time to show and celebrate what can be done.”
