Sheriff Volunteers Provided Assistance During Copperopolis Road Race & Children's Fair
Copperopolis & Angels Camp, CA...This past weekend has been a busy weekend for Sgt. Bob Fienberg of the Calaveras County Sheriff Volunteer Unit. Sgt. Fienberg and two other Sheriff Volunteers, Louis Chiu and Ed Evans provided assistance and traffic control at two public events in the County. The first event was the Children Car Seat Safety Program where parents learned the proper way to install children car seats. The second event was a bicycle race that took place in Copperopolis. Both public events were well attended. Everyone who attended either event had fun and enjoyed the beautiful weather outdoor...
The Calaveras County Sheriff Volunteer Unit continues to need more volunteers to assist various communities in holding public events in Calaveras County. Serious-minded Calaveras County citizens, retired or semi-retired, wishing to help their community and meeting the qualifications and requirements are encouraged to apply by calling the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office at (209) 754-6500, or leave a message at the Sheriff Volunteers voice mail at (209) 754-2889 or visit sheriff@calaveras.ca.us. Seniors are welcome and no law enforcement experience is necessary.
