Sheriff Volunteers Provided Traffic Control At Busy Air Show
San Andreas, CA...Under the coordination of Sgt. Vic Farina of the Calaveras County Sheriff Volunteer Unit, four other Sheriff Volunteers, Louis Chiu, Bill Cook, Cpt. Betty Miner and Joe Tarantino provided traffic control for the County Air Fair 2015 this past Saturday at the County Airport. The Air Fair was well attended. The Calaveras County Sheriff Volunteer Unit continues to need more volunteers to assist various communities in holding public events in Calaveras County. Serious-minded Calaveras County citizens, retired or semi-retired, wishing to help their community and meeting the qualifications and requirements are encouraged to apply by calling the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office at (209) 754-6500, or leave a message at the Sheriff Volunteers voice mail at (209) 754-2889 or visit sheriff@calaveras.ca.us.
