Elsa Elizabeth Dyer 1934 - 2015

San Andreas, CA...Elsa Elizabeth Dyer, age 80, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015, surrounded by her beloved family at Mark Twain Convalescent Hospital. Elsa was born in Columbus, Ohio, on November 18, 1934, to Elsie Elizabeth (Leef) and Charles Herschel Dyer...

Elsa is survived by her daughter, Barbara E. George (Kenneth) Snyder, granddaughters Sylvia and Virginia, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who all loved her. Besides her parents,Elsa was preceded in death by her son, William G. "Bill" George, Jr., Brother, Charles F. Dyer, Sister, Allison Ruth McClurg, and ex-husbands, William G. George and Lawrence A. Rufer.

Elsa was a Jill of all trades. She was a well-known and respected authority and publisher on fish. She worked with West Point EMS and was a humane officer. She also enjoyed and supported her community by calling in many weather reports to the local weather station. Elso was an artist at heart and provided signage, including fire prevention signs, for the local forestry area. She had ongoing projects writing, drawing and painting, but when residents in the local area had to travel, she would house sit and dog sit for them. Elsa loved all types of animals. She always had pets and couldn't turn away any that needed a warm home, food and a gentle touch.

Elsa lived in San Francisco for many years before she moved to West Point where she provided care for her parents. She was a fun-loving and wealth of knowledge on almost every subject, including the Bible. She was born and raised a Seventh-Day Adventist and looked forward to the second coming of her Savior, Jesus Christ.

At the request of Elsa, there will be no funeral service. Her remains will be returned to Columbus, Ohio, for burial.
