DUI Saturation Patrol Nets 6 DUI Arrests

Angels Camp, CA...The Angels Camp Police Department conducted DUI Saturation Patrol on May 14th through May 17, 2015. Six DUI arrests were made. On May 16, 2015 at approximately 8:15 PM, an Angels Camp Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on Bush Street near Utica Lane for failure to stop at a stop sign. The driver was identified as 46 year old Angels Camp resident, Rodney Oconnor. Oconnor was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol and arrested. He was booked in to the Calaveras County Jail for 23152(a) CVC- DUI Alcohol, and 23152(b) CVC – DUI Blood Alcohol Concentration .08% or more...





On May 16, 2015 at approximately 8:55 PM, an Angels Camp Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on South Main Street near Centennial Lane for passing over double yellows. The driver was identified as 46 year old Rio Vista resident, Robert Matt. Matt was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol and arrested. He was booked in to the Calaveras County Jail for 23152(a) CVC- DUI Alcohol.

On May 16, 2015 at approximately 10:20 PM, an Angels Camp Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on Vallecito Road near Tryon Road for failure to stop at a stop sign and not displaying license plates. The driver was identified as 28 year old Murphys resident, Coty Matulovich. Matulovich was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol and arrested. He was booked in to the Calaveras County Jail for 23152(a) CVC- DUI Alcohol, 23152(b) CVC – DUI Blood Alcohol Concentration .08% or more, and a misdemeanor arrest warrant.

On May 16, 2015 at approximately 11:05 PM, an Angels Camp Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on Live Oak Drive near Angel Oaks Drive for failing to stop at the limit line. The driver was identified as 29 year old San Jose resident, Jessica Waite. Waite was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol and arrested. She was booked in to the Calaveras County Jail for 23152(a) CVC- DUI Alcohol, and 23152(b) CVC – DUI Blood Alcohol Concentration .08% or more.

On May 17, 2015 at approximately 12:05 AM, an Angels Camp Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on South Main Street near Sams Way for driving to the left of solid double yellow lines. The driver was identified as 44 year old Douglas Flat resident, Carrie Lowe. Lowe was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol and arrested. She was booked in to the Calaveras County Jail for 23152(a) CVC- DUI Alcohol, and 23152(b) CVC – DUI Blood Alcohol Concentration .08% or more.

On May 17, 2015 at approximately 9:30 PM, an Angels Camp Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on South Main near Bret Harte Road for failure to stop at a stop sign, and for a brake and tail light being out. The driver was identified as 32 year old Angels Camp resident, Daniel Porovich. Porovich was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol and arrested. He was booked in to the Calaveras County Jail for 23152(a) CVC- DUI Alcohol, and 23152(b) CVC – DUI Blood Alcohol Concentration .08% or more.


The Angels Camp Police Department will be conducting future DUI Checkpoints and DUI Saturation Patrols in the upcoming months in our ongoing commitment to lowering deaths and injuries upon our streets and highways.

The saturation patrol was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
