Major Injury Accident On Hwy 4 & DUI Accident In Mountain Ranch

San Andreas, CA...CHP San Andreas has released information on two recent incidents. On August 18 at approximately 3:23 p.m. a 2013 Honda Accord went off the side of the roadway on Hwy 4 and Rock Creek Road. The vehicle was traveling westbound at stated speed of 55 miles an hour. The driver made an unsafe turning movement and drove off the side of the road, over an embankment and into a tree...




The 39 year old female driver from Murphys was taken Memorial Hospital in Modesto with major injuries and her 35 year old male passenger also from Murphys was taken to Doctors Hospital in Modesto with major injuries. The collision is still under investigation and alcohol and drugs were not a factor in this collision

The other accident release below is for a moderate injury DUI accident that occurred on August 17th in the Mountain Ranch area on lakeside Dr. A 36 year old Mountain Ranch woman was driving a 1989 Ford F250 southbound on Lakeside Drive north of Eagle View Drive at approximately 10 miles per hour. She failed to negotiate a right-hand curve in the road way and allowed her vehicle to travel office steep embankment. The vehicle overturned and came to a rest on it's right side at the bottom of the event embankment.

The passengers sustained moderate injuries requiring immediate medical attention. The driver was contacted at the scene of the collision and displayed objective signs of intoxication and was given field sobriety tests. She was subsequently arrested on suspicion of felony DUI causing injury
