Columbia Man Arrested In Death Of His Wife

Columbia, CA...Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office Detective’s arrested Robert Presson today on charges of 187 (A) PC; homicide. It is believed Presson murdered his 58 year old wife Jeane Presson earlier in July of this year. Presson originally notified Law Enforcement that Jeane was missing on July 25th. Her husband reported that she had walked away from their residence in Columbia six days prior. On August 7th while investigating the missing person’s case, Jeane Presson’s body was discovered in an area off of Springfield Road in Columbia.

With the assistance of multiple agencies, Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Detective’s conducted a thorough investigation involving several search warrants. Presson gave several statements implicating his involvement in the death and disappearance of his wife Jeane Presson. Evidence was collected and analyzed determining his involvement. Presson was arrested today and is currently in custody at the Tuolumne County Jail with a bail set at one million dollars.

The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office would like to express our heartfelt condolences to the family of Jeane Presson.
