Pot Related Home Invasion Robbery In Amador County
Sutter Creek, CA...On January 25, 2016 at approximately 0336 hours, the Amador County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 Emergency call from a resident at the 15000 block of Ridge Road in the unincorporated area of Sutter Creek. The caller stated that her neighbors had been the victim of a home invasion robbery. Amador County Sheriff’s Deputies responded. Upon arrival deputies contacted two male victims, a 66 year old father and his 34 year old son. Both subjects suffered blunt force trauma to the face. Fire and American Legion Ambulance personnel responded. The 34 year old was transported to Sutter Amador Hospital for treatment...
Based upon interviews of the two victims, it was determined that at approximately 0245 hours, four male subjects wearing masks to cover their faces, entered into the victims’ residence, beat the victims, and bound their hands behind their backs. One suspect was reportedly armed with a semiautomatic pistol and one suspect was armed with an axe handle. The suspects reportedly stole 10 to 12 pounds of marijuana, four firearms, approximately $1,000.00 to $1,200.00 in cash, a video game system and processed meat. The suspects fled the area, eastbound on Ridge Road, in a light color truck.
Amador County Sheriff’s Detectives and Amador County Combined Narcotics Enforcement Team (ACCNET) Investigators responded to begin the follow up investigation. The victims were only able to provide some generalized descriptors of the four suspects. One of the victims admitted to selling and furnishing small quantities of marijuana to some close associates, but he did not believe they would be involved. During the follow up investigation, a Butane Honey Oil (BHO) lab was also located.
This is an active investigation. Anyone with any information regarding this crime is asked to contact the Amador County Sheriff’s Office at 209-223-6500 or the Amador County Secret Witness Program at 209-223-4900.
