Traffic & Fire Update....Vegetation Fire Near Arapaho Way (Updated Now Reported At 83 Acres)

Burson, CA....Firefighters from ground and air are working a vegetation fire in the Lake Comanche area near Arapaho Way. Please use caution in the area until they can get this incident dealt with...(Updated...Evacuations have been ordered on Cheyenne and Arapaho, We just spoke with TCU Command and the fire is estimated to be 16-20 Acres with structures threatened but no reported structures lost at this time.) (Updated at 1:49pm...Just checked with TCU Command....no additional resources have been ordered so our comment is that is a good indication that they are starting to get the upper hand) (Updated at 2:28pm...According to TCU Command 50 acres, two outbuildings destroyed, no residences destroyed and some air assets have been released) (Update as of 3:25pm...225 Acres,, 16 Engines, 2 Dozers, 2 Helicopters, Two Outbuildings, No Residences Lost. No containment percentage yet) (Updated at 4:30pm...Red Cross has set up an Evacuation Center at Toyon Middle School for those affected by the fire. No official containment figure yet on the Cheyenne Fire) (Updated at 5:30pm...As is the case with many fires they tend to shrink as you put water on them. Thankfully the fire is now listed at 83 acres and containment is starting to climb) (Final Update....83 Acres, 50% Contained, All Evacuations Lifted, 1 outbuilding damaged, 2 outbuildings destroyed, 2 trailers destroyed, 1 minor injury to a firefighter. In addition to the state engines, many of our local fire departments have been heavily involved in fighting this blaze)
