Appaloosa Fire Update...325 Acres, 10% Containment, Hwy 4 Open, Power Restored To All But A Few

Copperopolis, CA...Firefighter Crews worked overnight building and securing existing containment lines. Fire personnel were able to keep the acreage at 325 with 10% containment. Additional details are below...

County: Calaveras
Location: Appaloosa Road at Pinto Drive, 2 miles south of Highway 4.
Administrative Unit: CAL FIRE Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit

Helicopters: 2

Cooperating Agencies: CAL FIRE, San Andreas Fire, Copperopolis Fire, Angels Camp Fire, Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department, CHP, PG&E.

Road Closures: Highway 4 is open; Appaloosa is closed north of Hunter. Stallion and Roan are closed at Highway 4.

Current Situation: Power lines arcing.

Evacuations: none at this time.
