Calaveras County Board Of Supervisors Agenda & Meeting For July 12th Webcasting Now

San Andreas, CA..Some of the Agenda items are: Receive a Presentation providing an update on the services of the Mountain Valley Emergency Medical Services Agency. Receive a Report from the Board Chair, Department Heads, CalOES and FEMA Update on Butte Fire Recovery. Approve a letter supporting Senate Bill 450 which allows specified counties to implement a new method of administering elections in California. Adopt a Resolution certifying sufficiency of County initiative measure to regulate the cultivation of cannabis for commercial and non-commercial activities within authorized zones in the unincorporated areas of Calaveras County and ordering election and consolidation with November 8, 2016 General Election or pass the ordinance without alteration. Adopt an Ordinance Calling a Special Election and consolidating it with the November 8, 2016 statewide presidential general election for the purpose of enabling the people of Calaveras County to vote on the question of, whether a commercial cannabis cultivation tax of $2.00 per square foot of licensed outdoor/mixed light canopy area, increasing to a maximum of $45.00 per pound; and $5.00 per square foot of licensed indoor canopy area, increasing to a maximum of $70.00 per pound; and a gross proceeds tax of seven percent (7%) on the manufacturing of cultivated cannabis; and a gross proceeds tax of seven percent (7%) on retail medicinal or legal cannabis storefronts, collectives and dispensaries for general governmental purposes.
