Cash's Up To More Financial Shenanigans, Arrested On Counterfeiting, Burglary & More
Sonora, CA...15 July 2016, two subjects were arrested on several charges relating to the passing of counterfeit bills, conspiracy, and burglary. These activities were called to the Sonora Police Department’s attention when an employee from Carl’s Jr. reported that a male and a female attempted to purchase a milkshake using a counterfeit $20 bill. When the transaction was rejected, the two left the business and got into an awaiting cab. The employee was able to provide a detailed description of both subjects to police. A Sonora Police Officer arrived shortly after the call was made to the Police Department and saw the two seated in a cab attempting to leave the area. Both subjects matched the descriptions given by the Carl’s Jr. employee, and the officer noticed that the female was making suspicious movements attempting to avoid detection.
The officer stopped the cab and identified both passengers as Nicole M. Cash, 28 of Sonora, and Bobby E. Cash, 34 of Sonora. Additionally, it was determined that the two were wanted by the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Department on other charges. Nicole Cash was also determined to be out on bail at the time of the incident. During the arrest, the officer located drug paraphernalia as well as a Ross Dress for Less shopping bag containing an assortment of men’s and women’s clothing in Bobby and Nicole Cash’s possession.
Further investigation determined that counterfeit bills were used to purchase the clothing earlier that day. The two were transported to the Tuolumne County Jail for booking, at which time Nicole Cash was found to be in possession of heroin and several additional counterfeit bills.
Bobby and Nicole Cash were booked for multiple counts of passing counterfeit bills, burglary, and felony conspiracy. Nicole was also booked for committing a felony while out on bail, possession of drug paraphernalia, and for bringing a controlled substance into the Jail.
