Fire Update....Vegetation Fire Reported Near Mountain Ranch and Calaveritas Roads. Updated 500 Acres, CHP With Vehicle That Started Fire

San Andreas, CA....CHP is reporting a vegetation fire near Mountain Rand and Calaveritas Roads. Will update if needed...hopefully not. Let's be careful out there. Updated at 1:27pm. fire has grown to 15-20 with structure threats and Mountain Ranch Road will be closed while they battle the blaze. Update as of 1:52pm...Some residents in the fire area are being asked to evacuate...some reports of structures involved. They will get this one....let's just hope and pray before it does too much more damage. We have seen enough fire to last for awhile.... Update as of 2:01pm...acreage has now been updated to over 50 acres.. There are three fires and prevention is working on cause... Update as of 2:13pm....scanner traffic now has fire at over 100 acres now. Update as of 2:58pm...Acreage estimates have risen to 350 acres with 2% containment.... Update as of 3:41pm....Now about 500 acres....more equipment is coming on scene, they have been waiting for enough dozers to work the fire. CHP is reporting they have the identified the vehicle that was responsible for starting fire.. Update as of 4:54pm...Fire holding at about 500 acres. Evacuation center opened... Update as of 5:10pm....The out of area tankers have been released and our local tankers 82 & 83 are now back at Columbia on a "Load & Hold", Great news on fire as forward progress has slowed. The beginning of the end of the Willow is in sight!! Great work everyone!!!
