"Old" Fire At 100 Acres & 25% Containment As Of This Morning

Groveland, CA...The fire is currently 100 acres and burning through brushy vegetation and beetle-killed trees. There is moderate fire spotting and beetle-killed tree torching. The fire is currently 25% contained Beetle-killed trees are presenting safety hazards for crews on the ground with an increase in danger from burning snags. Crews worked through the night to construct line and perform mop up. Suppression tactics are being modified to provide for firefighter safety while continuing containment and mop up efforts. Five structures are threatened due to their proximity to the fires edge though the fire is burning away from them. No evacuations or road closures at this time.
