Fire Update...."Old Fire" Battle Enters Final Stages, Holding At 150 Acres, One Injury To Firefighter

Groveland, CA...The fire is currently 150 acres and burning through brushy vegetation and beetle-killed trees and is currently 70% contained. We do not anticipate fire movement or spread. Crews will work to secure and hold established lines and continue mop up operations. Areas with high tree mortality, particularly falling snags, are presenting increased firefighter safety risks and challenges with fire suppression. Four residential structures are threatened due to their proximity to the fires edge though the fire is burning away from them. One minor firefighter injury. No evacuations or road closures at this time.
