‘Oktoberfest’ And ‘Old Fashioned Harvest Festival’ To Feature Contests, Food And Crafts & More!!

Copperopolis, CA...Copperopolis Town Square – the Castle & Cooke California-owned events, shopping and entertainment gathering place in Calaveras County – will host two fall-themed events the second weekend in October.

Oktoberfest will take place on Saturday, Oct. 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. A variety of local, regional and national beers will be available for purchase, as well as grilled bratwurst sausages, sauerkraut, German potato salad, sweets and more.

The family-friendly event will also feature a kids’ zone, bounce house, face painting, pumpkin patch and photo booth. Live music by Keno Rojas, contests and craft vendors will also be part of the festivities.

It will be followed by the second-annual Old Fashioned Harvest Festival on Sunday, Oct. 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Live music by Jill and the Giants will be complemented by vendors selling fall produce and other goodies, free hay rides, a photo booth and pumpkin patch, plus a kids’ zone with face painting, Bob the Balloon Guy and more. Proceeds from sales at the outdoor bar will benefit the Calaveras Humane Society.

“We’re still seeking vendors for the Old Fashioned Harvest Festival, one of the Square’s best attended events in 2015,” says Kim Hamilton, Director of Marketing for Castle & Cooke Calaveras, Inc. “The entire weekend promises to be a great way to celebrate the approach of cooler temperatures and all that autumn has to offer.”

If interested in being a vendor, please contact Hamilton for more information (khamilton@castlecooke.com / 209.785.9700). Additional details are available at www.CopperopolisTownSquare.com.

Copperopolis Town Square is situated in the rolling foothills of the Central Sierra on Highway 4 in Calaveras County, two hours from the Bay Area and 1.5 hours from Sacramento. The area offers visitors a wide variety of amenities and activities including golf, tennis and dining at the acclaimed Saddle Creek Resort (www.saddlecreekgolf.com) with accommodations for guests in luxurious Lodge Bungalows conveniently located within a few paces of the golf course. To stay for the weekend, please call 209.785.7415 to book a room.

The premier northern California golf resort community is also owned by Castle & Cooke California, Inc. Custom home sites are available on and off the golf course as well as new custom homes, and resale homes. Visit our sales center located at the resort for more information on what is currently available. Lofts above Copperopolis Town Square just steps from restaurants, shops and bars are another real estate option.

Dramatic vistas of the Sierra Nevada and countless winter and summer recreational opportunities make Saddle Creek an ideal location for vacationers, families and retirees.
