Public Notice For Board Of Supervisors Proposition 4 Hearing
San Andreas, CA...Article XIIIB was added to the California Constitution by way of initiative approved by the voters at a State election held in November 1979.
Said initiative, also know as “Proposition 4,” provided for appropriations limits for State and local government. Government Code § 7910 requires that each year the governing body of each local jurisdiction, including counties and special districts establish appropriations limits and make other necessary determinations for the following fiscal year pursuant to Article XIIIB.
On November 8, 2016, during the regularly scheduled Board of Supervisors meeting, the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors will establish Proposition 4 appropriations limits for the County and special districts governed by the Board of Supervisors for FY 2016-17. A copy of the proposed FY 2016-17 appropriations limits will be available for public review in the Office of the Auditor-Controller prior to the November 8, 2016 meeting.
