Clara Margaret Briski 1935 - 2016
Mountain Ranch, CA...Clara Margaret Briski, 81, passed away on December 13th, 2016 surrounded by her family at her home in Mountain Ranch, CA. She was born on April 7th, 1935 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Claude and Alma (Lewis) Hix.
Clara grew up in Mountain Ranch, California. She attended Mountain Ranch Grammar School and graduated from Calaveras High School in San Andreas in 1952. After high school she worked as a homemaker and an accounting clerk for the family owned business.
Clara married George Briski in 1952. They were happily married for 42 years. She enjoyed her grandchildren, great grandchildren, painting and gardening.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband George Briski; parents, Claude and Alma Hix; brothers, Claude Jr. (Jay) and Carl Hix; sisters, Jerry Mckim and Betty Halloway.
Clara is survived by; her son Dale (Cheryl) Briski of San Andreas, CA and daughter, Shellie (Brad) Burton of Mountain Ranch, CA; her brothers Henry (Brenda) Hix and Steven (Christine) Hix of Tuolumne County and sister, Barbara(Dick) Kinsey of Prescott, AZ; her grandchildren Holly (Kyle) Lerman, Robin (Zach) Glanville and Erin (Matt) Burton;her great-grandchildren Addison Glanville, Jordyn and Caleb Lerman; and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Her family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to JoAnn, Jessica, and Mimi.
A private graveside service will be held for family and close friends.
