Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital Announces New Weight Management Program
San Andreas, CA...Today, over 60% of all Americans are overweight or obese, an increase of more than 30% in just the last decade. Limited access to exercise, an over-abundance of convenience foods, and increasing levels of stress have created a near-epidemic health risk for people of all ages.....
Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital is proud to announce the availability of an individualized, professionally monitored Weight Management Program. The two phase, goal-oriented course includes both clinical and maintenance components. Both phases are closely monitored by the hospital’s health care professionals and include counseling in nutrition, exercise, pharmacology, and behavioral and psycho-social awareness. Short term and long term goals are established to meet individual needs, and follow-up assessments conducted.
The Weight Management Program must be prescribed by a physician who will be regularly informed of your progress. Your visits may be billable to a wide variety of private insurance plans and Medicare. For more information and to schedule an appointment, please call 754-2518.
Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital is a not-for-profit, 48-bed general acute care hospital serving all of Calaveras County.
