Two Big Band Barbara shows held at Columbia College

Sonora, C.A....The Saturday, Jan. 19 matinee performance of “Big Band Barbara” at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys has been moved to a 7:30 p.m. evening show at Columbia College’s Dogwood Forum theater on the same date...

Jazz singer Barbara Morrison


Featured will be legendary vocalist Barbara Morrison and the 25-piece Columbia Big Band. Also on-hand will be guest artist Skip Mesquite on tenor sax.

A limited number of seats are still open for “Big Band Barbara” on Sunday, Jan. 20 at 3:00 p.m. at the college’s Dogwood Forum. Tickets are $17 per person and available at The Mountain Bookshop in Sonora’s Junction Shopping Center, (209) 532-6117 and at the college’s Manzanita Bookstore, (209) 588-5126.

Valley residents will have an opportunity to see the same show on Friday, Jan. 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Magnolia School Auditorium at 739 Magnolia Avenue in Oakdale. Tickets are $17 for adults, $12 for seniors, and $7 for students. For more details, contact the auditorium office at (209) 848-7171.
