Nancy Howard, 58 From Tracy Perished This Morning In Hwy 4 Head On Collision
Angels Camp, CA...Ronald Torchia was driving his 2007 Ford,west bound on State Route 4, east of Stallion Way at approximately 55-60 mph. Robert Howard was driving Vehicle 1997 Nissan,eastbound on State Route 4, west of Stallion Way at approximately 45 mph. For unknown reasons Torchia lost control of his Ford and entered into the right shoulder. He then over corrected back into the westbound lane, crossing into the eastbound lane. Consequently, the front end of his vehicle collided with the front end of the Nissan.
Mr. Torchia was treated for minor injuries at Mark Twain Medical Center. Mr. Howard sustained major injuries and was flown to Dr's Medical Center in Modesto. Nancy Howard, 58 from Tracy lost her life before she could be transported for treatment.
Alcohol and/or drugs are not considered a factor in this collision. This collision is still under investigation.
