Murphys, CA...The Murphys Hotel presents their First Annual Superbowl Sunday Chili Cookoff on Sunday, February 3, 2008. You can come and taste for $10.00 and donate a can of food to our local foodbank OR donate 10 cans of food. The entry fee for contestants is five cans of food for the HRC Food Bank serving Calaveras County. Contestants will cook on site at the Hotel and will be ready to serve from 2:00 to...
4:00. Awards will be given out at half time. We will have a Judge's Award and a People's Award. Johnny Harris, owner of the Murphys Motorcyle Shop, was the originator of this event and will be there with his famous chili recipe.
