The Snow is Piling up High Here in Dorrington!~By Teri Slankard

Dorrington, CA...WEATHER: The snow is piling up high on the roadways here in Dorrington. 18 inches has accumulated since last 5 pm last night. Snow bombs from the trees are dropping on the road ways as well.....

ROAD CONDITIONS: Skinny. the roads are very narrow right now. County plow trucks are having trouble clearing them within the subdivision today. The snow is too heavy for the trucks to move it and there seems to be a lack a places to put it. The owner of the Dorrington Hotel has been plowing the parking lot non-stop since 11:00 last night and there is still a white sheet covering the pavement. Nothing but white anywhere you look. CalTrans has been in and out of the area a few times. They've had to bring in the heavy equipment in order to keep up with the demand. Hwy 4 isn't in any better condition than the subdivision.

BERM HEIGHT: Berm heights are growing from 6 feet to 8 feet. Berms have formed in major intersections where the county trucks have yet to clear them. Busting through these berms is not advisable.

POWER OUTAGES: Only a flicker early this morning - so far.
