26 Burn Survivor's Enjoying a Weekend of Play up at Bear Valley!

Bear Valley, CA....The Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation kids have arrived in Bear Valley for their Annual weekend of playing in our Winter Wonderland. This year there are 26 kids participating. For the past 13 years this been a tradition for this foundation. Bear Valley Mountain Resort has donated rentals, lift tickets and food. The Bear Valley portion of this project has been graciously facilitated by Rosie Sundell and Jim Gentling. Chapel in the Pines of Arnold has donated lodging for these kids. The Ebbetts Pass Fire Department has graciously provided breakfasts and dinners.....

Because this is a non profit organization everything they have done for these great kids is being donated, from the dinner at EPFD to the lunches by the Bear Valley Ski Club, to the snow mobile rides through the streets of Bear Valley in the evening by volunteers who live in the Bear Valley area to the Bear Valley Mountain Resort providing lift tickets, rentals, lessons and treating them like family for the weekend.

The Foundation presented Jim Gentling with a plaque this morning in appreciation of all that our resort has done.

This annual trip is organized by Michael Sanders, Annual Ski Trip Coordinator.
