Modesto Man Arrested On Transportation / Sales of Narcotics and Firearms Charges

Angels Camp, CA...On 10/04/17, at approximately 6:30 PM, an officer from the Angels Camp Police Department was on patrol when he observed a vehicle with a modified and illegible front license plate. The officer stopped the vehicle near the intersection of Murphys Grade Road and Rolleri Bypass Road, and a records check revealed that the driver of the vehicle is on searchable probation out of Stanislaus County.

Prior to the probation search the driver admitted that there was a loaded firearm in the vehicle that he was carrying for his protection. A subsequent probation search revealed a loaded 40 caliber pistol, loaded with 15 rounds of ammunition, as well as approximately one (1) pound of crystal methamphetamine in a plastic one gallon zip lock bag. The pistol was contained inside of a bag on the front passenger seat, and the methamphetamine was inside of a paper bag behind the front passenger seat.

Martin Lorenzo Jr., a 46 year old Modesto resident, was arrested for charges related to transporting a controlled substance for sales, possession of narcotics while armed, and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for the charges, and the vehicle was towed to the Angels Camp Police Department for further processing.

Obama/democrat/liberal all the way. Liberal vote insures he stays out of jail, gives him money and food for not working, even a phone. Being a smart liberal like yourself, you surely know this to be true.

People like this should be executed immediatly upond arrest. Their severed heads should dress the county line as a warning to other scumbag criminals that no quarter will be given.

End of problem.

I concur, a felon with a loaded firearm, could have turned into a very bad situation quickly. Another great job ACPD!!

Coming or going

Sounds like he was between Murphys and Angels Camp. So he was either dropping off or just picked up his stash. That's a lot of meth, 448 grams??? On probation with a gun and that much meth? Not your typical user here.

Hope this guy never sees daylight again. Will likely plea bargain.

A pound of weed is one thing. A pound of meth is next level *bleep* here.

Good job ACPD.
