Copperopolis Man Arrested on Numerous Charges at Black Oak Casino

Tuolumne, CA...A Copperopolis man took a rather large gamble last night at a local casino that didn’t pay off in his favor. Our office received a call from Black Oak Casino reporting security staff had made contact with 21-year-old Tommy High on the gaming floor after he was involved in a verbal altercation with another patron. High had multiple warrants for his arrest.

Deputies arrived and met with security officers on the third floor of the parking garage and arrested High for his warrants on charges of committing a felony while out on bail, ID theft, drug possession, conspiracy to commit a crime, violation of probation and failing to appear in court. High also had a warrant out of Modesto for failing to appear on a stolen vehicle charge. A search of his person turned up more than 10 grams of methamphetamine and a glass methamphetamine smoking pipe.

Further investigation determined the Acura Integra that he drove to the casino had been stolen from Stockton. A registration check through DMV confirmed the license plate was issued to a Nissan and not the Acura. The registered owner of the vehicle was contacted and had reported the stolen Acura just 4 days prior.

High was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for his warrants and current charges of possession of a stolen car, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a methamphetamine smoking pipe, and displaying false license plates.

That's a pretty big hole Mr. High has dug for himself. Difficult to imagine getting past all of that but I sincerely hope he can get clean and turn his life around. Still young enough.

So fitting , it seems all the tweakers causing problems at the local casinos. Where do they get the money to gamble on? Oh wait they steal it.

Yes they do steal it, they can't hold a job so it's their way of life.
Then look at our judicial system, they keep giving him chances, and the criminals just laugh as they get let off on OR or a tiny bail amount, because up here in the great life of being out of the large city, we cant afford to lock them up where they belong. (and it's against the law to put a .22 inside rattling around in their corrupt little drug changed brain) At least this Judge saw that he hasn't changed for the better and put bail high enough, that no bail bondsman would take a gamble on.
Thank you for putting him in lock up where he belongs and will stay for awhile.

At least he won't be robbing anyone while we give our thanks this Thanks Giving.

The above replys are so positive indeed. It takes a lot of thought to put those comments together... I think we all have a mother and dad. Let them read your post and I “promise” they won’t do DOPE with you. Take some pride, get a shower, cook some food and I promise you the lady will be there. No need for DOPE. Try it, it’ll work.

What "lady" will be there? In my shower? You sound a little off balance there Mr/s anonymous, but as long as your harmless, no foul, no problem here.

        "Don't blame parents for everything"
Boy, is that person ever correct. We are humans, we make our own decisions and take our own paths.
Many kids were brought up with good, honest, hard working parents and the best upbringing, yet? Look at how many kids were brought up in catholic school, do you think they are all good, god fearing, great citizens now?
All of my siblings were brought up by very good parents, yet we are all different in many ways, just like any family.
A parent can only teach by example. That old saying still rings true today, You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

        Happy Thanksgiving everyone,

        Regards

        Mr Ornery
