Suspects Sought in Burglary at Valley Springs Gas Station

Valley Springs, CA...On 11-30-17 at about 0130 hours an observant passerby called the Sheriff’s Office to report that a black Chevy Tahoe with paper plates (red writing on the plates) was driving around the 76 gas station in Valley Springs with its lights off. As Deputies responded to the area the sheriff’s dispatch center received an alarm call for the business.

Upon arrival deputies determined that the front glass doors of the business had been shattered and several thousand dollars’ worth of cigarettes and lottery tickets were stolen. A Be on the Lookout alert was given to surrounding agencies. The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office informed CCSO Dispatch that a patrol unit had initiated a pursuit on a vehicle matching that description westbound Highway 26 in San Joaquin County around 0148 hours but the pursuit was terminated and the vehicle fled the area.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identify ing the suspects in the attached pictures from video surveillance captured during the burglary. If you recognize any of the suspects in these pictures or have information regarding this crime, please call the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office at (209) 754-6500 or our anonymous tip line (209) 754-6030.
