Go Green at the 12th Annual Telemark Festival!

Bear Valley, CA...Wondering what to do with those old long johns? Do you need to clear some space in the closet? Everybody is encouraged swing by the Bear Valley Telemark Festival Registration Desk this weekend, February 8-10, and take advantage of Patagonia's "Common Threads Garment Recycling Program" (more info). That’s right, bring us your old Capilene, Patagonia....

fleece, Polartec® fleece from other manufacturers and Patagonia organic cotton T-shirts and we will ship them back to Reno so that they can be recycled! This way your clothes don't end up in landfills and companies such as Patagonia won't have to use as much virgin polyester, which amounts to less raw oil consumption. Come help out and pitch in your old garments and help reduce the environmental impact of outdoor recreation.

The 12th Annual Bear Valley Telemark Ski Festival is returning to Central Sierra Nevada this February 8-10, 2008. This unique festival attracts freeheel skiers from around the globe who flock to the small alpine village of Bear Valley for educational clinics, equipment demos, races, backcountry skiing, and banquets. It doesn’t matter if you are new to telemark skiing or have been executing this stylish turn for years, the Bear Valley Telemark Festival offers a wide range of activities to challenge and satisfy all attendees.
