Hey Good People!! Bear Valley Opens For The Season Today!! Come Up & Play!!
Bear Valley, CA...Bear Valley Mountain opens for 7 Day a week operations today. The snowmaking team has been hard at work building the snow base and cold weather patterns should continue to support high snowmaking production levels. In addition to the base and beginner areas, the snowmaking is focused on Mokelumne West and getting a run off the top of the mountain open as soon as possible. For this weekend, we are confirming the following services and activities at Bear Valley Mountain! Panda Carpet, Cub Carpet, Terrain Park boxes near Koala, Sledding, Rock Climbing Wall, Cub Chair is tentative – stay tuned!
Hey Good People! Opening day today with limited coverage and terrain as widespread cloud cover dominates Bear Valley and the Central Sierra forecast area. 36F at 5am as the clouds keep in the long wave radiation and promote warmer temps. The high for today looks to come in around 48F with SE winds in the morning from 0-5mph then becoming calm as the afternoon arrives. The pattern continues to look dry for the next 5/6days but there is something cooking way out East. Model differences are still not coinciding but let's keep our fingers crossed for change sooner than later! I say until then let's all have fun with what we have and promote quality Holiday cheer.
