‘Prepare to be Amazed’ in San Andreas Soon~ By Bethany Monk
San Andreas, C.A….San Andreas Community Covenant Church will present “Prepare to be Amazed: Illusion and Beyond,” a free show open to the public, at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18….

….The show features Toby Travis, a performer skilled in illusion, acting, motivational speaking, and more, according to his Web site. The award-winning illusionist has appeared in shows all throughout the United States and in Europe, South Asia and Central and South America.
“It is absolutely a very good program,” said Gerry Quinones, the church’s children’s director. “It’s a must-see for all ages.” She remembers enjoying last year’s “Prepare to be Amazed Show” immensely; specifically, the rabbits in the hat, the lifting of tables off the floor and the “sawing” people in two, she said.
“There would be a missing ring and the illusionist would find it in the audience somewhere,” Quinones said. However, Toby Travis is not your typical magician, she added, noting his great comedian skills; his performances are also Biblically-based and appropriate for people of all ages.
