33 Calaveras County Students Make the Columbia College Fall 2007 Dean’s List!~By Hanna Heath

Calaveras County, CA…Achievement: The act of accomplishing or finishing; something accomplished successfully, especially by means of exertion, skill, practice, or perseverance. Thirty Three (33) students, who live in Calaveras County and attend Columbia College, have put hard work into their schooling, enabling them to achieve a spot on the prestigious Dean’s List for the fall 2007 semester.....

All of their long nights, study groups, and dedication, students have been acknowledged by faculty, staff, and the local community. After speaking with Lando Greene, last years second runner up for student of the year and deans list student, he shared “Every little thing is appreciated. I work really hard, try my hardest to do well and it’s nice to be acknowledged.”

All students were full-time students, who achieved a cumulative 3.5 grade point average (GPA) or better with no grade lower than “C” and at least 12 completed units of work in associate degree-applicable courses. A total of 129 students who attend Columbia College made the fall 2007 list. Some of the other towns include: Sonora, Twain Harte and even Aberdeen Washington.

Thepinetree.net would like to say CONGRATULATIONS to all the students who have made the deans list. Keep up all the great work.
