Calaveras County is "Open For Business"... Talking Economic Development with the Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce's Diane Gray...Video Chat Enclosed
Angels Camp, CA...We had the pleasure to chat for a few minutes with The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce's Executive Director, Diane Gray. One of the big pushes for the Chamber this year will be Economic Development and bringing additional jobs to the county. The Chamber is meeting with Calaveras County Board of Supervisors Chair, Steve Wilensky next week. A Supervisor's Study Session will be held at a later date on Economic Development. This will enable what everyone can do to enhance the economic vitality of our area....
One of the first parts of this process is to let businesses know that Calaveras County is "Open For Business" and the Chamber and other organizations will do their best to make building a business or bringing a business to Calaveras as painless and profitable as possible.
Part of this marketing plan will focus on the quality of life aspects of our area. Our area has a myriad of activities for residents including Golf, Cycling, Wine Tasting, Snow Skiing, Water Skiing, Hiking, Big Trees State Park, New Melones, Frog Town, Tulloch Lake, Ironstone's Concert series, Cave Exploration and much more.
We also spoke about broadband infrastructure, the types of businesses that might find our area attractive. One of the additional pluses of our area is our schools. They consistently score very well in the state wide tests.
