Town of Copperopolis Development, Opening this Spring~By Hanna Heath
Copperopolis, CA….The small town of Copperopolis will no longer be unrecognized or overlooked by Calaveras County locals or visitors. In April, 2006 Castle and Cooke Calaveras, Inc. released the development plan for the Copperopolis Town Square….
   
The concept of the Copperopolis Town Square is to have a pedestrian oriented retail focus. The architecture will be historically sensitive, along with capturing the essence of the Sierra foothills gold country. This development has been an on going process for two years and finally this spring the town will come to life. Today, there is only one lonely store that has its doors open to the public, Copper Valley Realty.
Copper Valley Realty will no longer be the only store open come early spring. Castle and Crook has released a prospected list of businesses that will be opening their doors to the community of Copperopolis Town Square. After speaking with one of the local contractors on site, name disclosed, “We needed this in Copperopolis. The new restaurants and shops will not only be great for visitors but for the local community as well. I often go to Angels Camp and Sonora to have dinner with my family, because Copper doesn’t offer a wide range of restaurants. I look forward to the grand opening and encourage locals to come share this wonderful development.”
